Tracey Chapman
Tracey first got the idea of growing food for needy families after experiencing significant health benefits when she began to focus on nutrition as the foundation for her health. She recognized that although food pantries do a great work at providing food for those in need, it is typically shelf stable food that is given out. So began the seed that grew into Makers Farmacy. To grow fresh produce and donate it to local food pantries to serve their neighbors because everyone deserves access to food that fuels & heals. As an already existing distributor for the vertical aeroponic growing systems, she had access to a method to grow year round in a sustainable and economic way.

Jim Chapman
On one hand you can say Tracey’s husband Jim didn’t have a choice but to join in the work but he definitely the workhouse piece to the project. He is excited to further invest in his community and to link arms with area food pantries and organizations that are already connected with the needy.

Each of the founding board members wrote down a verse & encapsulated it a “cornerstone” of sorts that we then pounded into the four corners of the stone pad for the greenhouse. We dedicated & declared that this ministry belongs to God.
